Material: Kerkyra Alabaster. Only in my last year in Greece did I discover that a local form of Alabaster existed. On a walk near Krini on the north-west coast, after a heavy storm, I found part of the cliff-face had collapsed. The exposed surface was so white, that I had to climb up and take a look. When polished, this stone glows with a golden inner light that reminds me of the sunlight of the island.
